Hate Mail To Pro-Life Activists ..... The Irony Of It All

Pro-life activists Bud and Tara Shaver of Albuquerque, New Mexico, are often the targets of hate mail or e-mails.  Read the following Facebook post from Bud Shaver:

Tara and I received "hate mail" at our home today...all the way from New York that stated the following:

"BUD AND TARA -YOUR ACTIONS TO INTIMIDATE THE WOMEN OF NEW MEXICO ARE ABHORRENT. A MESSAGE OF LOVE IS NOT A MESSAGE OF JUDGEMENT. WHY DON'T YOU FOCUS ON THE HUNGRY, SICK, & POOR WHO NEED FOOD, SHELTER & MEDICINE, & LEAVE WOMEN BE?"

The biggest irony is...who is more poor, desperate and alone than the WOMEN bound for the abortion clinic? We reach out to them with grace, truth, hope and compassion. We, the pro-life movement, are the ones who feed, clothe, give aid, shelter, and true medicine to these women, hopefully before...but also AFTER their abortion! I have witnessed and participated personally with each and every one of these issues working with Project Defending Life...and you, my facebook friends, have always come through when we have a desperate situation that arises from my time on the sidewalk in front of the abortion clinic.

The abortion clinic nor the pro-abortion crowd certainly don't help these desperate women...they just tell them lies, take their money, and toss them back onto the street without dealing with any of the circumstances that bring women to the abortion clinic in the first place. If a woman rejects their lies and exploitation they are the harshest and most vile to them! I witnessed this personally just this week...once this woman left the abortion clinic the staff treated her rudely and with disrespect!

We are on the sidewalk when they come out of abortion clinic and we are the ones who are there to love them without judgement and bring them into the arms of the one who wants to give these WOMEN life and have it abundantly. (John 10:10) www.prolifewitness.org

John 10:10 - The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

irony? definition;the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really think especially in order to be funny
the woman who wrote the letter is right. feed the poor, house the homeless, leave these women alone. you dont know the situation they are in. you ARE judging them. sad

It doesn't matter what situation they are in, murder is murder! If you know God's commandments, then you would know that they already have been judged by God, man is only trying to stop these woman from murdering an innocent soul.

You intimidate women by your signs, your judgmental words, your threatening presence. Your continuous presence is no different than the continuous threat of terrorism.

Bud and Tara thank you so much for being out there! I'm post-abortive and know all too well how women are really treated by employees in abortion clinics. I was told I could come in any time after my abortion if I needed any counseling. Well, when I showed up for counseling due to abortion regret, I was ushered quickly out the door while being told I would eventually "get over it." After 2 failed suicide attempts I reached out to pro-lifers. I was not judged. I was loved by them and invited to a post-abortive program that really helped me pick up the pieces of my broken life and put my life back together. Any comparisons to your loving actions as terrorism is ridiculous and untrue. The real war on women is in the abortion clinics.
