Training And Activism Week In Albuquerque Off To Great Start!

The week of pro-life training and activism is well underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  A pro-life training conference kicked it all off with several prominent speakers from around the country.  Speeches were by Kristina Garza and Jeff White of Survivors, Brendon O'Morchoe of Students for Life, sidewalk counselor Don Blythe, Jason Walsh of Arizona Right to Life, Cheryl Sullenger and Troy Newman of Operation Rescue, and Mark Harrington of Created Equal.  It was a genuine treat listening to the first-hand account of the turmoil recently in Texas, stories from the sidewalk, information on investigative work, educational talks on how to defend the position and the use of graphic images, plus much more.

Now it's time to hit the streets.   Youth representing Survivors from across the nation will have walks on Albuquerque's busiest streets, hold die-ins, pass out literature, and have discussions with the citizens of Albuquerque about abortion and the late-term facility here. Created Equal will have their display of abortion victim photography, while also educating the citizens with their "Killers Among Us" flyer project.  There is momentum in Albuquerque since nearly 27,000 people signed a petition to get on the ballot a measure that would ban abortions past 20 weeks.  Albuquerque is known as the late-term abortion capital in the country, and the activists this week are going to make sure the citizens know this horror is occurring in their city.

The theme for the week is:  Do you know?  Do you care?
