A new pro-life movie, The Gift of Life, presented by Citizens United Productions is now available. Governor Mike Huckabee narrates and leads the viewer through different aspects of the pro-life movement. Starting from the Declaration of Independence, he weaves the message through the Doe v. Bolton decision, former abortionists' testimonies, those conceived by rape, and a pastor's life story.The Gift of Life also touches on the funding of Planned Parenthood and Live Action's undercover activities exposing their corruption. It also discusses the current trends of more youth being involved, what lies ahead in the movement, plus much more.
The Gift of Life is an excellent overview of abortion in this country and it did a good job touching on several different aspects of the issue. The most powerful message came from those who were involved in the abortion industry and their testimony about finally seeing the truth of what they were doing after thousands of abortions.
I wish it would have expanded on some of the issues such as those conceived in rape and those born with Down Syndrome. There are some areas it didn't cover such as the lack of involvement with the abortion issue by most churches and political leaders. It also didn't cover pro-lifers who are in front of the abortion facilities, prominent pro-life organizations such as Operation Rescue, or leaders such as Jill Stanek. I realize it would need to be twice as long to include all of this.
I would strongly recommend The Gift of Life for anyone, no matter where they now stand on the issue. If nothing else, it should force the viewer to think about abortion and prompt them to discuss it with others. Hopefully, it will get people to examine the subject in more detail and help them realize that something needs to be done now to stop abortion. Watch the trailer and order The Gift of Life.
